Meera Bai was a 16th-century Hindu mystic poet and devotee of Krishna. She is celebrated in India as one of the most significant figures of the Bhakti movement. Meera was born into a royal family in Rajasthan, but her heart was dedicated to the divine love of Lord Krishna from an early age.
